Our year-round leadership team provides on-going support and staffing to the vital programs of Camp Roger. We are currently looking to hire an Advancement Director.
Camp Roger is looking for an Advancement Director to design, implement and manage all advancement efforts at Camp Roger. This person will be part of a year-round leadership team making a difference in the lives of thousands of children each year. In this role, you will lead the efforts to build relationships with major donors, monthly supporters, corporate partners, and camper families. We are now taking applications for Voyager 4/5 (July 6-17), Voyager 6/7 (July 20-31), Voyager 8/9 (August 1-12), and Voyager 10/11 (August 14-25). Voyager leader responsibilities include leading a backpacking trip at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, preparing devotions, intentionally modeling Christ-like leadership, and training campers to serve as counselors during a 4-day session. Voyager leaders serve in co-ed pairs; you may apply individually or with a partner. Leaders will be hired based on qualification and availability. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. To apply for a summer staff position, we need to receive a completed application by you as well as a reference form completed by you about yourself. We will also need to have 3 other reference forms turned in completed by others who know you well. (i.e. past employer, church mentor, etc.)
Outdoor Education Staff
Each year, Camp Roger hires a group of Outdoor Education Day Staff to support the year-round program. We’re always interested in adding folks to our on-call list of ropes course facilitators and Discovery Nature Center teachers during the fall, winter, and spring. Each year, we recruit up to six people to serve in a 9 month gap-year program to live and work at Camp Roger. This position would be heavily involved in Outdoor Education program, retreat and site responsibilities, and many more opportunities throughout their time at camp.
