Camp Roger strives to provide each camper a great camp experience at a reasonable cost. The sliding fee scale is based on household income and number of children in a household.
To request these reduced rates, please complete the Financial Aid section of the registration form when registering. No additional form is needed. A minimum deposit of $50 for each Day Camp session and $100 for each Resident Camp session or Wilderness Trip will be required at the time of registration. Financial assistance is available for one Day Camp session and one overnight session per eligible camper.
Financial Aid will be awarded as long as funds are available, and you will receive confirmation of this award with your summer camp registration confirmation. Financial Aid funds may be limited as summer camp approaches. If aid is no longer available, you will be contacted by phone, and your deposit will be refunded.

Support the Financial Aid Fund
Financial assistance is provided by proceeds from Camp Roger’s annual Joe’s Big Race event and contributions by individuals, businesses, and the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation supports local camping organizations at www.westmisummercamps.org.
Since 2004, the need for financial assistance has increased tenfold. Through the generosity of donors, Camp Roger has established the Maggie Hilbrands Financial Assistance Fund. This fund was established in honor of Maggie in 2007 after she lost her life at only twelve years old. Maggie was a long time camper at Camp Roger and her family chose to honor her by helping other kids have the opportunity to come to camp.

Outdoor Education Financial Aid
At Camp Roger, we are committed to making experiences in God’s Creation accessible and affordable to as many schools and students as possible. Camp Roger operates with an annual budget for financial aid. There are limited funds available each fiscal year and requests will be reviewed as received. Financial Aid is awarded based on need as determined by the percentage of students eligible for free or reduced lunch at the school.
