Camp Roger Campus
At Camp Roger, we are blessed with a beautiful setting that provides an amazing context for group experiences, retreats, conferences, and reunions for groups small and large. We love sharing this space with others to create their own meaningful experiences that advance our mission to “encounter and celebrate God’s love for His children through relationships and experiences in Creation”.
Ridge Hall provides a full-service kitchen to meet the cooking needs of groups large and small. The kitchen has a walk-in refrigerator and freezer for storage, commercial ovens and griddles, as well as a commercial dish washer. This is a perfect place to prepare meals for your site rental groups or conferences.
Opened in June 2016, Ridge Hall provides the perfect setting for hosting conferences, weddings, retreats, or gatherings for up to 290 guests. The facility includes a main dining room for meals and gatherings, upper and lower level restroom facilities, two meeting rooms for groups ranging from 10-40, and a full-service kitchen for meal preperation. In addition, adjacent meeting spaces provide gathering places for day retreats and smaller groups.
Remember the Dining Hall that served camp for decades? Take a look!
The Lodge provides a great gathering space for groups of all sizes. As a supplemental space to Ridge Hall, the Lodge is perfect for retreat break-out sessions and the lower level provides small group meeting space and housing for groups.
The upper main floor of the lodge has a large open area which can be used for large group gatherings with a capacity of approximately 125, a beautiful central fireplace, and two restrooms. The lower lodge area has plenty of comfortable seating for smaller groups, a bunk room which sleeps 14, three private bedrooms with bathrooms, a fireplace, and public bathrooms with showers.
Each building houses two cabins which can be open to one another or closed off. Each cabin sleeps 16 people in bunk beds with two showers and three bathroom stalls attached to each cabin area. Cabins are fully heated and handicap accessible. There are six cabins housed in three separate buildings on boys hill and six cabins in three buildings on girls hill.
Little Bostwick Lake is located on our property. There are boats and canoes which are available in the spring and fall free of charge. Catch-and-release fishing is available with your own fishing equipment. There is a small beach area and plenty of dock space to sit on. A nature path goes completely around the lake for your enjoyment of this area. Swimming is permitted, but please view our rules and regulations for use of the waterfront for complete details.
The Chapel Grove gathering space is a special place at Camp Roger and provides a beautiful setting for worship services and gatherings for your group retreat or conference. Nestled in the woods in close proximity to central area, Chapel Grove was renovated in August 2016 with new benches to provide more seating for groups up to 200.
Campfires and Hiking Trails
Outdoor fires are allowed in designated areas. There are firepits by the cabins, by the sandpit area and down by the lake. Free firewood is available from the woodshed located near the lodge.
Miles of hiking trails are available on Camp Roger’s land as well as around Pickerel Lake. The Fred Meijer Pickerel Lake Nature Preserve is at the far southwest end of camp’s property. The trails are only for walking or skiing, and maps are available in your welcome folder.
