GO Days

GO Days (ages 6 – 14) are scheduled, one-day outdoor education days for students at Camp Roger.
GO Day experiences take place almost completely outdoors and within small groups at our Camp Roger campus, conveniently located in Rockford.

GO DAYS offers students fun and hands-on learning activities that help promote a greater love and a better understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves.

Students will be placed in small groups of similar ages and will engage in fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities led by well-trained, experienced staff.
The specific activities will be determined by the weather but might include lessons and activities like the following: team building, the maze, survival fires, shelters, outdoor cooking, egg drop, Rube Goldberg, orienteering, wetlands, water cycle, animals and their habitats lessons, archery, creative games, and much more. Some days may overlap in activities, but each day will have a different focus.

Students will spend most of the day outdoors, so please dress for the weather!
Pack a water bottle and lunch, put a smile on your face, and come to Camp Roger for a great day of learning and playing outdoors!

Can I schedule my child for more than one GO DAY?

Yes, you may register for as many days as you would like. GO Days may overlap some themes from day to day but each day will have a different focus. We have many different adventures planned for your kids.

My student is attending with a friend. Can they be in the same group?

Students are welcome to request one or two friends, within two years of each other, through the online registration form. Make sure friends request to be with your child as well. Requests should be reciprocal.

How do I cancel my child’s scheduled GO DAY session?

Prior to the program start date, you may request to switch GO Days or cancel your child’s registration by calling the camp office or emailing our registrar. Prompt notification is appreciated and may allow for another student to register. Sessions can be switched at no cost as openings allow. A $15 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations, and the remainder of your payment will be refunded. Registrations are non-transferable.

Will I receive confirmation once I register my child?

After you register a child, you will receive a confirmation email that includes an account statement indicating your registered sessions. Additional program information, including drop-off and pick-up procedures and what to wear/bring, will be emailed to you a week or so prior to your registered program start date.

Do I need to make a deposit?

Program fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
