GO Days
New GO DAY announced
GO Days (Get Outside Days) are scheduled, one-day outdoor education days for students at Camp Roger in Rockford.
Students ages 6 - 14 will be at Camp Roger from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. Cost is $35 per student.
GO Day experiences take place almost completely outdoors and within small groups.
These adventurous days offer hands-on learning activities that help promote a greater love and better understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves.
Students will be placed in small groups of similar ages and will engage in fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities led by well-trained, experienced staff.
The specific activities will be determined by the weather. GO Day activities could include several of the following: engaging with a group in team building, maneuvering the maze, building survival fires, building shelters, learning how to cook outdoors, orienteering, learning how to snowshoe, developing archery skills, as well as interactive lessons on wetlands, water cycles, or animals and their habitats.
Students will spend most of the day outdoors, so please dress for the weather - snow, rain, cold, or all three!
Pack a water bottle and lunch, put a smile on your face, and come to Camp Roger for a great day of learning and playing outdoors.

GO Day FAQ
My student is attending with a friend. Can they be in the same group?
Students are welcome to request one or two friends, within two years of each other, through the online registration form. Make sure friends request to be with your child as well. Requests should be reciprocal.
Will I receive confirmation once I register my child?
After you register a child, you will receive a confirmation email that includes an account statement indicating your registered sessions. Additional program information, including drop-off and pick-up procedures and what to wear/bring, will be emailed to you a week or so prior to your registered program start date.
Do I need to make a deposit?
Program fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Can I schedule my child for more than one GO DAY (If offered)?
Yes, you may register for as many days as you would like, as they are scheduled. GO Days may overlap some themes from day to day but each day will have a different focus. We have many different adventures planned for your kids.
How do I cancel my child’s scheduled GO DAY session?
Prior to the program start date, you may request to switch GO Days or cancel your child’s registration by calling the camp office or emailing our registrar. Prompt notification is appreciated and may allow for another student to register. Sessions can be switched at no cost as openings allow. A $15 administrative fee will be charged for cancellations, and the remainder of your payment will be refunded with adequate notice. Registrations are non-transferable.
